Hannah Glasston, Director of Etherton Gallery (which manages Temple Gallery) notes, “ We are pleased to present work by the Tucson Artists Group, highlighting the vitality of Tucson’s contemporary art scene on the 25th anniversary of our association with the Temple of Music and Art.”

The Tucson Artists Group (TAG) is comprised of a diverse group of artists who meet frequently to discuss topics of interest, learn about each other's art, give critical feedback and support, and to arrange exhibitions of the group's work. TAG was formed in the late 1980s by Rhod Lauffer. It was originally the "Thursday Artists Group," a casual rotating studio visit/weekly pizza-&-beer among friends. Over time it morphed into a more organized form of creative anarchy. Many members of the group are professional artists, but the majority work in tandem art fields and use this group as a motivating and educational base to continue their art endeavors. Members include printmakers, ceramic and glass artists, installation artists, painters, photographers, new media artists, and sculptors. The group encourages each artist to expand their medium and technical boundaries in the spirit of artistic discovery.

Temple Gallery is located at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave in downtown Tucson.
