headshotTurner G. Davis grew up at Rancho Linda Vista, an artist community in Oracle, Arizona. He has a BFA in painting from the University of Arizona and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. From 1996 to 2015 he served as the Director of Riva Yares Gallery in Scottsdale. He also taught and pursued a career as an artist. Davis has published two books: Josephine – The Girl Who Lives on the Moon (Inkwell Productions, 2013) and Kintsukouri (Inkwell Publications, 2014). In 2007, he was the consulting artist for the film Jolene. He has lectured at the Wichita Art Museum, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona Museum of Art. Davis has exhibited all over Arizona, including a one-man exhibition at the University of Arizona Museum of Art, Turner G. Davis: Fantastic Worlds in 2008. Currently, Davis and his family live in Phoenix, Arizona where he is Adjunct Faculty at Phoenix College and Arizona State University.
